Field Work Lecture 3 Regional Development Planning Studio conducted by the Regional Development Study Program, Department of Geography Development took the study location in Palangkaraya City, Central Kalimantan Province with the theme of Regional Planning and Development in Efforts to Realize Sustainable Development in Palangkaraya City, Central Kalimantan Province.
This activity involved 68 students and 5 lecturers with five themes studied which included: (i) tourism (supervisor Prof. Dr. M. Baiquni, M.A.); (ii) agriculture (advisor Prof. Dr. R. Rijanta, M.Sc.); (iii) Smart City (supervisor Dr. Rini Rachmawati, S.Si., M.T.); (iv) urban poverty (supervisor Alia Fajarwati, S.Si., M.IDEA); and (v) disaster (supervisor Dr. Estuning Tyas Wulan Mei).
The group of students departed on Sunday, April 21, 2019 by traveling overland to Surabaya and arrived in Palangkaraya on the afternoon of Monday, April 22 2019. The group of lecturers which included Prof. Dr. M. Baiquni, M.A., Prof. Dr. R. Rijanta, M.Sc., M.A., Dr. Rini Rachmawati, S.Si., M.T., and Alia Fajarwati, S.Si., M.IDEA arrived the following day.
The visit to the Department of Economic Development at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Palangkaraya University was held on Wednesday, April 24, 2019. During this visit, the group was immediately welcomed by the Chancellor of the University of Palangkaraya, Dr. Andrie Elia Embang. In the evening a public lecture was held by Dr. H. M. Riban Satia, S. Sos., M.Sc. who is a former Mayor of Palangkaraya.
In addition to guest lecture activities, students also take data to agencies and directly conduct observations in the field. The next day, Friday, April 26, 2019, a presentation was held at the Bappeda in Palangkaraya City. The speech was given by the Head of Bappeda, H. Akhmad Fordiansyah and the Mayor of Palangkaraya, Fairid Naparin, S.E. The activity continued with the exposure of the results of studio and field activities by each group of students and the event ended with the submission of souvenirs and photos together.
KKP 3 SPPW is an event for students to practice making alternative plans for regions / cities in various themes of regional and sectoral development.
